They will be stunned over the fantastic views and the fascinating stories! After the rooftop tour continue to the Old Town for a walk on ground in Stockholm’s oldest and cosiest quarter, Gamla Stan.
We are proud to announce new tour programs every year. Here are some of the programs we offer:
The Millenium Walk (Stockholm). Over 20 millions have already read author Stieg Larsson’s three Millennium books about journalist Mikael Blomkvist and computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, that have become bestsellers around the world. The main characters live and work on the island of Södermalm in central Stockholm. Follow along in Mikael Blomkvist’s and Lisbeth Salander’s footsteps through the picturesque areas of Södermalm while getting additional background information about the characters and the author.
SkyView tour (Stockholm). In early spring, 2010 the two glass gondolas that will be traveling along the outside and to the top of the Globe will open to its first visitors. The Ericsson Globe Arena, resembling a giant golf-ball, is the largest spherical building in the world. An exhilarating 2-minute ride will take guests to the top of the Globe. At 130 meters above sea level, the “bubble” will stop for guests to have ample time to marvel over the magnificent view over the city.
Vikings Plundering Promenade (Stockholm). Guests will be taken on a journey through Sweden’s history, culture and customs as seen through the eyes of a modern day Viking. Pillage and plunder through the streets of the medieval Old Town with us, Viking style!
Volvo Museum (Gothenburg) Volvo, perhaps one of the most well known Swedish products. Enjoy a visit to this pearl of Museums, “The World of Volvo”, displaying Volvo’s development from the start in 1927 until the 21st century. All lines of business are represented; aero, bus, construction equipment, trucks and of course cars!
Town of Roses and Ruins by Horse & Cart (Visby) Enjoy a guided tour by horse and cart in beautiful, medieval Visby. Visby can be appreciated as much for the depth of its fascinating historical significance, as its modern day charm as a clean, very pretty, small city in which parks, gardens and flowers abound. It’s uniqueness lies in the fact that the medieval part of the city is surrounded by the still intact, massive City Wall. A fun and different way to see the town and perfect for those who prefers touring in small groups.
Archipelago BBQ (Stockholm) Travel by RIB boat out in the archipelago and enjoy how the islands change in character the further out you get. After approx an hour´s ride, we will make a shore stop at a nature beach on an uninhabited island to enjoy a BBQ buffet, prepared by your own chef. We will gather around the camp fire and enjoy a light meal and the stillness of the Swedish summer night in the most beautiful archipelago in the world.
Garden and Lavender lovers (Ystad) Visit Åbergs Plant School founded in 1872 and which has been family owned ever since. Here we learn how the garden can be used for relaxation and creativity. One of their specialties is herbs; indeed they have over one thousand varieties of aromatic plants and perennials. There is also 2,400 types of trees and bushes. You will have a nice coffee break in the greenhouse café before continuing to the lavender fields of “Österlenkryddor”. We take about an hour´s hike through the spice fields. There, cooking tips are given and you will learn about the history of the spices, legends and myths and also some household remedies. A light meal - all herbal inspired will be offered. Now you will have the opportunity to make your own lavender ointment (Available at Harvest season Only—10/07—10/08. Other periods you can make own herbal foot salt or your own herbal snaps mixture). Instructions and material will be provided.
